一、 教学内容:六上 Unit 5 Signs (Cartoon time)
二、 教学目标
1. 知识目标
(1) 能初步感知并理解故事,能够体会故事中主要人物的不同情感,用不同的语气朗读并表演故事。
(2) 能够简单地听、说、读单词及词组:sign, smell, at a shopping centre, be careful, mean, floor, around, take…into…, in a restaurant
(3) 能听懂、会说、会读:What does it mean? It means ……./ No eating or drinking./ No littering./ No parking./ No smoking./ Danger!/ Wet floor.
(4)能听懂、会说、会读“Public signs”。
2. 技能目标
(1) 能借助提示,完整的复述本课对话
(2) 通过本课时的学习,让学生能够看懂一些常见的公共标识,并能用英语进行询问极其描述。
3. 情感目标
(1)根据标志的意思,能够介绍、询问、给人以忠告和建议。
(2)通过学习公共标志常识,加强社会公德教育,提高学生自身的文明素养。

通过本课时的学习,让学生能够看懂一些常见的公共标示,并能用英语进行询问及其描述。

六、 教学过程
Step 1. Before reading
1. T: Look, here’s a lovely boy, his name is Jim. Today he is very happy. Because he knows a lot about public signs. What’re public signs? Let’s have a look.
2. T: Yes,they are public signs. Follow me, “signs”.
3. T: Jim learned a song about the signs “ the signs in the park”. Let’s enjoy. Then tell me how many signs do you know from the song?
4 . T: What are they?
5. T: Do you know other signs?
6. T: Where can you see the signs?
7. T: This is a big shop, there are a lot of things in it, we call it shopping centre.
Step 2. While reading
1.T: Jim saw the signs in the shops, too.
T:Let’s listen to the tape, then order the pictures, where did Jim go?
Teach: restaurant
2.T: What signs did they see? Let’s watch the cartoon then match the signs in the shop. What do the signs mean? Please read the text and find the answer.
Show the four signs . Answer: “What does it mean?”
Show the phrases “Wet floor”, “No littering”, “No eating or drinking”, “No smoking”.
Read again and choose the answer.
Step 3. Practise
1. Read the story follow the tapes.
